Why are my transactional emails going to spam?

Almost always one of three things: authentication that isn't aligned (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), a cold or shared IP with no reputation, or a single provider having a bad day. Do I need to warm up an IP address?

Do I have to set up SPF, DKIM, and DMARC myself?

No. You add a domain and MailKite publishes and rotates the DKIM keys, keeps SPF and DMARC alignment correct, and monitors all three. The test email above went out fully authenticated without you touching a DNS record.

Why not just use Amazon SES or SendGrid directly?

You can — and then you own IP warmup, suppression lists, bounce and complaint handling, feedback loops, SPF/DKIM/DMARC, and reputation monitoring, forever, on a single network.
